A company’s AI foundation depends on more than just models and agents. It also requires governed operational data and an infrastructure capable of transferring AI to production, a fundamentals-first approach that is emerging among Brazilian companies.
Technology company TOTVS SA is building this foundation based on its position in thousands of Brazilian companies. About 25% of the country’s gross domestic product runs through its systems, while more than 70,000 customers use its large enterprise software, it said Mara Maehara (Pictured left), Chief Information Officer of TOTVS.
“We recently launched our AI foundation called LYNN,” she said. “We are ready to leverage this foundation to enable our customers to prepare agents or leverage our agents and AI using their data connected to their system to achieve benefits.” [their] Business.”
Maehara and Diego Puerta (right), Brazil general manager at Dell Technologies Inc., spoke to theCUBE Research John Furrier while theCUBE + NYSE Wired: AI factories – data centers of the future Interview series on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio. They discussed TOTVS’s AI strategy, infrastructure buildout, and Dell’s role in supporting both.
The enterprise AI foundation extends to infrastructure services
TOTVS describes LYNN as a technology layer that brings together assets and capabilities for the development of artificial intelligence agents aimed at solving real-world business needs rather than generic AI. This strategy reflects a broader effort to transform operational data into differentiated business capabilities. According to Maehara, general AI is becoming more commodified, but applying it to a specific use case and proprietary data that can improve operations or generate revenue brings value. TOTVS now plans to continue this approach beyond its traditional software portfolio. The new offering would support a larger portion of the customer environment within the same infrastructure.
“We just put another offering on the market,” she said. “It’s Infrastructure as a Service. It’s a new offering that we can offer our customers – not just in the products that TOTVS has previously provided, but also across all of our customers’ environments within the same infrastructure – to provide performance, security and scalability.”
Partnership is being evaluated to bring (more) AI to the market
Maehara said Dell and TOTVS are testing new technologies, evaluating the most suitable products and exploring how they might bring a solution to market together. The approach reflects Dell’s collaboration with other Brazilian customersStart with business priorities and then determine the infrastructure required to scale artificial intelligence.
For TOTVS, the work takes the company beyond its traditional software arm in infrastructure decisions. Dell’s broader AI solutions According to Puerta, they span computing, storage and networking, providing technical breadth as the service takes shape.
“It wasn’t an easy conversation at first,” he said. “It’s been a big challenge – less supply, more costs and everything else. But we’re working together to make sure that happens.” [they’re] We have to have the supply and, above all, our teamwork to then go down to the last detail and understand whether we have the right products and the right offer.”
