Remote Mouse turns your cell phone or tablet into an easy-to-use remote control for your computer. It simulates the function of a wireless mouse, keyboard and touchpad, and also provides a variety of special control panels such as Media Remote, Application Switcher and Web Browsing Remote that allow you to perform certain operations faster. You will also be impressed by the small features designed for one-handed operation or intuitive operation.

What’s new
Your computer at a glance
The connection bar now shows the active app, window title, and currently playing media, giving you a clearer picture of what your computer is doing.
You can see which app and window you are currently working in. For example, if you have multiple tabs open in Chrome, you can easily see which tab is currently active.
Meanwhile, music or videos can continue playing in the background while you use another window on your computer. The connection bar shows what is currently playing, and you can pause or resume playback without bringing the music or video to the foreground using the Media Remote panel.
Introducing connection codes: easier connections, better protection
We’ve introduced an easier and more secure way to connect to Remote Mouse: connection codes. The update is now available for Remote Mouse Helper on Mac, with Windows and Linux updates coming soon.
Safer by default
Previously, the connection password had to be activated manually. Now it is enabled by default on new installations. When a new device tries to connect, a six-digit connection code automatically appears on your Mac, so you’ll know when someone requests access.
- Less setup, less effort
- A 6-digit code is automatically generated.
- No passwords to create or remember.
- Enter the code once and your phone can save it for future connections.
- You can regenerate new code at any time
You don’t have to touch your computer
We know that sometimes using your computer directly is not convenient. You can enter the connection code on your phone or use your phone’s touchpad to remotely control Helper and regenerate the code – all without touching your computer’s keyboard or mouse.
Important: After you regenerate your connection code from your phone, your current remote connection will no longer work. To continue, open the Connect to Computer screen on your phone and reconnect manually.
