Enterprise IT teams are deploying applications faster than ever, but their ability to identify and resolve production issues doesn’t always keep up.
The growing complexity of hybrid infrastructures, cloud-native applications and connected digital services is putting traditional monitoring approaches under pressure. As organizations accelerate software delivery and expand the use of AI, IT operations teams must manage increasingly complex environments while maintaining application performance and business continuity.
“Our AppDev study shows that 63.7% of organizations deploy applications daily or multiple times a day, while 46.5% report that the required deployment speed has increased 50-100% over the last three years,” said Paul Nashawaty, practice leader and principal analyst at theCUBE Research. “Yet 32.3% still take hours to become aware of production issues. These results highlight the growing disconnect between accelerated software delivery and the ability to maintain real-time operational visibility.”
Closing this gap is a central theme of LogicMonitor’s Elevate event, October 13-14 in Chicago. The conference brings together IT leaders, practitioners and technology experts to discuss autonomous IT, an approach that leverages AI-powered observability, predictive intelligence and automation to help systems identify, diagnose and increasingly resolve problems with less manual intervention.
On October 14, theCUBE will livestream its coverage of Elevate 2026, hosted by Nashawaty. Interviews with LogicMonitor executives and industry experts focus on how agentic AIOps, full-stack observability, and intelligent automation are transforming enterprise operations, as well as the practical challenges of implementing a self-healing infrastructure while maintaining governance and human oversight. (*Disclosure below.)
From observability to intelligent operations
LogicMonitor, an enterprise IT monitoring and observability company, has expanded its observability strategy beyond infrastructure monitoring to an AI-centric operating model that combines telemetry, incident investigation and automated remediation.
In May, the company announced its Autonomous IT Innovation Program, a private preview initiative to validate new workflows with select customers. The program focuses on guided incident investigations, user-in-the-loop response, remediation, and governance controls designed to help organizations go beyond traditional dashboards and alerts.
“The future of IT operations isn’t focused on dashboards. It’s focused on AI,” said Garth Fort, chief product and technology officer at LogicMonitor. “This is our goal to transform the way teams work with AI-native workflows so they can act sooner, work smarter and ultimately automate more of the work needed to keep modern digital businesses running.”
At the heart of this strategy is Edwin AI, LogicMonitor’s agentic AIOps technology that leverages operational data to correlate events, prioritize incidents, and assist in root cause analysis. The company’s broader LM Envision platform provides visibility across hybrid infrastructure and cloud environments and delivers the telemetry necessary to support AI-driven operational decisions.
The company also expanded its reach through the acquisition of Catchpoint, announced in December 2025. By expanding its infrastructure observability capabilities to include internet performance and digital experience monitoring, LogicMonitor aims to connect internal system health with the performance that customers and employees actually experience.
The integration addresses a persistent challenge for IT teams: determining whether an application issue arises from the software itself, the underlying infrastructure, or external dependencies that are outside an organization’s direct control. In a July update, LogicMonitor detailed work to link Catchpoint alarm data with Edwin AI for incident correlation in these environments.
“The opportunity for LogicMonitor Elevate is to bridge this gap by combining full-stack observability with actionable AppDev insights and intelligence,” said Nashawaty. “By helping development and operations teams correlate telemetry data, identify root causes, and automate responses, observability can lead to faster releases, greater application resiliency, and more efficient IT operations.”
The path to self-healing infrastructure
The next challenge for autonomous IT is to move beyond AI-powered incident detection and diagnosis to systems capable of taking corrective action.
Traditional IT operations typically rely on engineers to interpret alerts, investigate dependencies, and perform recovery procedures. Agentic AIOps provides the ability to automate parts of this process, allowing systems to correlate signals, recommend corrective actions, and execute approved remediation workflows.
LogicMonitor develops this approach through Edwin AI and its broader automation capabilities. The company has also worked with IBM and Red Hat to integrate Edwin AI with IBM watsonx and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform to support more automated data center operations.
However, increasing automation raises operational questions about accountability, permissions and the consequences of poor decisions. An automated response that resolves an incident could disrupt another critical service if the system lacks sufficient context or appropriate protections.
“This is not about adding another AI assistant to existing workflows,” said Karthik SJ, Chief AI Officer at LogicMonitor. “We are fundamentally redesigning the way business teams work – from systems in which people manually collect and interpret information to systems in which AI enables teams to understand, decide and act directly in the flow of work.”
These considerations are particularly important as IT organizations connect observability platforms with service management systems, automation tools, and production infrastructure. Effective implementation requires reliable telemetry, clear guidelines to govern automated actions, and mechanisms for human intervention when systems encounter unexpected conditions.
For Nashawaty, the ability to put operational intelligence into action is a key measure of success: “The strategic differentiator will be how effectively platforms translate operational data into timely decisions across the entire software lifecycle,” he said.
At Elevate 2026, theCUBE’s conversations will explore how far organizations can realistically move toward closed-loop automation, what measurable benefits customers are achieving, and where human expertise remains essential. Discussions will also discuss how unified visibility and agentic AI can help IT organizations improve their resilience without introducing additional operational risks.
