WTF?! It’s not uncommon for gaming companies to produce limited edition hardware to celebrate the release of a new game, and few releases are bigger than the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto VI. But since Sony has exclusive marketing rights to the game, Microsoft had to think outside the box with its latest move.
In an effort to create the most Floridian ever, Microsoft commissioned creature animatronics specialist John Nolan Studio to develop the Xbox Series X Bite. Imagine if an alligator swallowed an Xbox Series X whole, and you get the idea.
The alligator is more than 1.5 meters long from snout to tail, with the console fitting snugly in the abdominal cavity. Created using advanced 3D modeling, sculpting and fabrication techniques, the “Alligator” looks every bit as realistic as something you would find in the wild.
John Nolan Studio has worked on some of the biggest television and film projects including Jurassic Park, Harry Potter and The Witcher, among others. Microsoft says every detail has been considered, from the texture and finish of the alligator itself to the tiny details of the wireless controller. The console appears to be fully functional, although Microsoft notes that it’s best left as a display piece.
Microsoft is giving away this one-of-a-kind Gator and there are three ways to enter: X, Instagram or TikTok.
