Exaggerated: In 2014, the GTX 750 Ti was an upgrade of choice for budget PCs, primarily because it fit into an old office tower without the need for additional power cables. However, it only had 2GB of memory – a limitation that can easily occur with many games released in recent years. A version with four times as much storage is now available on Amazon. According to reports, it can even run Cyberpunk 2077 at around 30 fps.
British YouTuber RandomGaminginHD bought one from little-known brand Xynsviu for around £160. That’s more than the $149 Nvidia originally charged for the card. In the US, the same model was listed on the brand’s eBay store for $189.
For testing, he paired it with a Core i5-12400F and 32GB of DDR5 memory. In Cyberpunk 2077, the card averaged 32 fps at 1080p with the lowest preset and FSR 2.1 in Performance mode. Battlefield 6 ran at 35 fps on the lowest settings and the render scaling was set to 50%. However, these averages hide some ugly problems, including textures that never loaded and objects that only became visible late.
ARC Raiders looked respectable on paper at 48 fps, but performance occasionally dropped to as low as 9 fps. Lighter games performed significantly better. Counter-Strike 2 ran at 102 fps on medium settings, while Fortnite managed 75 fps in performance mode.
The extra storage pays off in Red Dead Redemption 2. Ultra textures are available directly in the settings menu without the need to customize the configuration file, which is required with the 2GB version. Despite this, the game only achieved 37 fps with the resolution scale reduced to 50%. Across the suite of tests, RandomGaminginHD found the card to perform similarly to the original 2GB model.
That’s hardly surprising considering the underlying GPU hasn’t changed. GPU-Z identifies a full GM107 chip with all 640 CUDA cores, unlike the 8GB Ti model that surfaced a few months ago but actually uses a standard GTX 750 GPU. Xynsviu also clocks its eight 1GB GDDR5 memory chips at 1,253 MHz, which is below the standard 1,350 MHz. This reduces the memory bandwidth from 86.4 GB/s to 80.2 GB/s, which is the same as the regular GTX 750.
Gaming might not have been the main goal anyway. Xynsviu’s product range consists primarily of older Nvidia and AMD GPUs that have been repurposed for multi-monitor use, and extends from the GT 730 to the RX 580. This model has four HDMI outputs on a low-profile board with two fans and, like the original GTX 750 Ti, draws all of its power from the PCIe slot.
Regardless of the intended use, the card is based on a Maxwell GPU, for which Nvidia no longer optimizes drivers. Game Ready support ended with the 580 driver branch, meaning new game releases will not receive fixes from day one. However, the card will continue to receive quarterly security updates until October 2028.
New, affordable graphics cards are also becoming increasingly difficult to find this year. Zotac and Inno3D owner PC Partner warned in its half-year results that the shortage of entry-level GPUs would worsen throughout 2026 as storage costs rise. Cards like the RTX 5050 are already selling above their suggested retail prices in some markets.
