Automation Anywhere Acquires Boost.ai to Expand Customer-Centric Voice AI

Automation Anywhere Inc., an enterprise agent automation and orchestration company, announced Wednesday an agreement to acquire Boost.ai Inc., a conversational language artificial intelligence company, from Nordic Capital.

The company wants to build the “autonomous enterprise,” an operating model in which companies operate up to 80% autonomously or with AI support.

Boost.ai’s technology will extend this vision to the customer experience, enabling AI to take requests from customers or employees and route them through the middle and back office.

“Every company has three types of tasks: serving customers, supporting employees and running the business. Most work in isolation,” said Mihir Shukla, CEO of Automation Anywhere. “With Automation Anywhere and Boost.ai, we aim to be the leading offering to provide every organization with autonomous operations that listen, decide and act in all three areas.”

Currently, Boost.ai serves hundreds of customer organizations, with a particularly strong base in regulated industries and Europe. Many of its customers focus on financial services, telecommunications and insurance. This will expand Automation Anywhere’s thousands of global customers operating in similarly complex industries.

Boost.ai’s platform supports more than 36 languages and ensures message security and privacy in compliance with Europe’s General Data Protection Regulation and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.

“Boost.ai’s deep expertise in regulated industries has proven that conversational and voice AI can operate at the enterprise level with the reliability, compliance and governance that regulated industries require,” said Jerry Haywood, CEO of Boost.ai.

This acquisition follows Automation Anywhere’s acquisition of Aisera Inc. in late 2025 and integrates its agent AI platform into its agent process automation ecosystem. The company said that combining the two companies’ platforms will give Automation Anywhere the most comprehensive offering in the market for autonomous working across all office work.

This includes customer operations across voice, chat and digital channels with AI agents; autonomous employee operations to resolve information technology, finance and human resources queries; and autonomous business operations for critical processes such as enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management and other applications.

“The real transformation of AI will come when companies stop measuring agents and start redesigning the way work gets done for results,” said Ankur Kothari, co-founder and chief operating officer of Automation Anywhere.

Voice AI itself is still a mature market. Broadly speaking, contact centers do the majority of what voice agents do for customer service – a human point of contact with existing telephony infrastructure to perform actions on behalf of humans. Now a person can talk to a computer to activate a tool, and Automation Anywhere wants to be the layer that makes this possible, whether it’s a business process or an employee or customer need.

Acceptance is progressing, but depth remains somewhat inconsistent. This puts Automation Anywhere in a potentially strong position. Astute Analytica’s AI Voice Agent Market report estimates the market to be $3 billion in 2025 and grow to $45.1 billion by 2035. Customer support experience automation is leading the market, accounting for the largest share at the end of 2025 and dominating the AI voice agent market.

Boost.ai maintains more than 650 deployments, approximately 600 live AI agents, and has powered more than 150 million automated conversations. Its clients include Nordea Bank Adp, Credit Union of Colorado, DNB Bank ASA and Trading 212.
